The Kenya University Students Organisation (KUSO) President Antony Manyara has been appointed to Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s national campaign team. He joins other national youth leaders such as Senator Isaac Ngugi IG, BBI Youth convener Alex Matere among others in spearheading the youth faction of Raila’s campaign.

Through a viral Facebook post, Manyara conveyed his appreciation to the former Premier for giving the youth a chance in his campaign team and committed to ensuring that both students and the youth are at various tables of decision-making during and after this campaign season.

PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT.
I’d like to thank H.E. Eng. Raila Odinga for appointing me, alongside other noble leaders, to serve in the national Azimio Presidential Campaign Team.
The youth are the driving force in this journey. Comrades have been in the fight for liberation in the past, hence, are only rewriting history.
To all the University leaders, comrades’ leaders and influential comrades out there, this is the way. Let’s work as a team. Let’s do this.
Manyara, who is also a continental governance champion through his organization, Youth Advocacy Africa, has been at the forefront of advocating for the involvement and inclusion of the youth in governance and civic processes. His work has also taken a keen interest in bridging the intergenerational gap by having senior members of the community and those in government guide the youth on governance and policy matters.
His efforts have earned him a place at the Commonwealth Youth Council as East Africa’s representative and he is touted as a favorite for continental appointment in the days ahead.
With the youth comes news perspectives, strength, and energy. The inclusion of Manyara and his youthful colleagues adds fresh blood into Raila’s campaign and is undoubtedly a game-changer in the contest pitting the former Premier against DP William Ruto
