Nelson Amenya, the whistleblower behind the controversial JKIA-Adani deal, has taken to X (formerly Twitter) with fresh revelations that are reigniting public concerns about the growing influence of health tycoon Jayesh Saini.

Amenya’s latest exposé comes at a time of increasing speculation regarding Saini’s connections with Indian billionaire Gautam Adani, who is reportedly eyeing investments in JKIA and other Kenyan airports.

Many fear these developments could spell trouble for some of Kenya’s most critical sectors.

In a direct message shared with Amenya by an anonymous insider, new details about Jayesh Saini’s vast healthcare empire have come to light.

The message states, “Dear Nelson, I appreciate the good work you are doing. Jayesh is the owner of the following healthcare institutions: Bliss Healthcare and Medicross Healthcare, both of which provide outpatient services, and LifeCare Hospitals in Kikuyu, Migori, Eldoret, Meru, and Mlolongo, which offer both inpatient and outpatient services.”

The insider further revealed that Saini also owns Fertility Point, a clinic catering to teachers and police officers with fertility issues, as well as MAKL, the administrators of the medical cover for teachers and police officers.

Afrihospital Holdings Ltd, which operates within LifeCare Hospitals in Eldoret and Migori, is also under his control. Additionally, Star Discovery Insurance is one of the companies owned by Saini.

According to the message, Saini’s healthcare network is expanding rapidly, with new branches set to open in Parklands, Kisumu, and Mombasa.

This fresh revelation follows another hard-hitting post by Amenya, where he exposed Saini’s close relationship with Adil Arshed Khawaja, the chair of Safaricom PLC’s board and Saini’s brother.

Reports suggest that through Adil, Safaricom is preparing to invest Kshs 104 billion in a new healthcare initiative, SHIF, which will be led by Saini.

Saini’s alliance with Gautam Adani, who has shown interest in Kenya’s aviation and energy sectors, is further fueling concerns about the growing concentration of power in Saini’s hands, potentially affecting Kenya’s healthcare and infrastructure industries.

As Amenya’s exposé unfolds, the public is left questioning the extensive influence Saini wields and what this means for Kenya’s key sectors.
