Pastor Dorcas Gachagua has finally spoken about the claims made by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah that she is the one controlling former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Dorcas dismissed the remarks, saying they are not true and are being pushed for political reasons. While speaking in the United States, Dorcas said it is not even possible for her to control a man like Rigathi, who is currently giving the entire government sleepless nights.

According to her, if senior government officials are struggling to deal with Gachagua, then there is no way she can be the one directing him.

Dorcas said she has always respected her husband and their marriage has clear roles. She made it clear that people should stop assuming that just because she is close to him, she controls what he does.

She said those who are pushing that story are only trying to cause trouble, especially now when there are rising political differences in the country. Dorcas believes that some people are just uncomfortable with how bold her husband has become, and they are trying to look for ways to weaken him by involving her name.

She also pointed out that the government seems too focused on her husband, and that even top leaders keep mentioning his name.

She said it shows that the government doesn’t even know how to deal with him, which is why some are now shifting attention to her.

Dorcas asked Kenyans not to believe everything they hear from politicians. She reminded people that she and Rigathi have a strong relationship and that they continue to support each other.

She said the accusations are meant to damage their image but insisted that their marriage remains happy.

Dorcas added that she has her own calling and work to do in society, especially helping vulnerable groups like widows, young people, and recovering addicts.

She said dragging her name into political talk distracts from the important work she is doing. According to her, people should focus more on issues affecting ordinary Kenyans instead of wasting time discussing who controls who in a marriage.

She ended by saying her husband can speak and act for himself, and he doesn’t need anyone, including her, to push him to do anything.

She called on leaders to focus on serving the country instead of creating unnecessary sideshows.

For now, she says she will continue standing with her husband and won’t be dragged into baseless political fights.
