Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has addressed the ongoing speculation and public concern following the sudden death of Kariobangi North MCA Joel Munuve. In a recent interview, Sakaja dismissed allegations that Munuve was murdered and called on the public to avoid rushing to conclusions.
He emphasized the need for patience as investigations are conducted to uncover the true cause of death. According to the governor, Munuve collapsed at home, and there is no evidence at this stage to suggest foul play. Sakaja urged people to remain calm and wait for the results of a full investigation before making any accusations or assumptions.
“Allow me to pass my deepest and sincere condolences to the people of Kariobangi North who lost their MCA, Joel Munuve. He collapsed at home. I don’t know why you call it murder. We have asked for a full investigation to understand what happened,” Sakaja said.

His comments were aimed at cooling rising political temperatures and stopping the spread of misinformation. He warned against politicizing the incident, saying that matters of death should be handled with the seriousness and sensitivity they deserve. The death of Munuve has shaken many in Nairobi and beyond, especially given the fact that he had no known history of illness.
