Division has continued to widen in Raila Odinga’s Azimio – One Kenya coalition after Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati declared UDA’s William Ruto as president elect in just concluded general election.
Wiper party aspirant for Nairobi senatorial position Gadhafi Hassan Mohamed, who bolted out of the race in favour of ODM candidate Edwin Sifuna, has launched scathing blames at Jubilee party candidate Polycap Igathe after failing to secure Nairobi governor’s seat.
According to Hon Mohamed, Igathe joked with thousands of youths who believed in Azimio to deliver the seat with the hopes of securing jobs at city hall to irk a living. He faulted Igathe for allegedly lacking political muscles to even call a campaign rally that might see thousands of Nairobi residents attend. He said Igathe’s campaign within Nairobi were being spearheaded courtesy of Raila’s Azimio rallies within the county.
“Do you know how many jobless youths you have dumped in a hopeless ditch who believed in Azimio delivering the Nairobi seat for them to secure jobs at city hall? You were lacked political muscles to call for even a campaign rally that constitutes to more than 100k people. You were hiding behind Raila’s back to campaign within Nairobi” Hon Mohamed said.

Mr Mohammed added that having lost the seat to senator Johnson Sakaja, Igathe was re-appointed as Equity Bank Group Chief Commercial officer when he was out of the country while thousands of youths within the city were left at the political crossroad.
“A day after losing the seat, you were re-appointed Chief Commercial officer at Equity Bank Group while you were out of the country. Thousands of youths who believed in Azimio have been left at the political crossroad” he added.
He informed that he has joined Sakaja’s bandwagon despite being in a rival political faction. “Tumeingia team Sakaja ata sisi” he stated.
