Bottom-up chief crusader, deputy president William Ruto today, Sunday, 22nd May, 2022 joined congregants at Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) in Langas, Kapsaret, Uasin Gishu county.
Ruto was flanked with county governor Jackson Mandago, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, Koti Moja among other Kenya Kwanza allied legislators.
Speaking during the church service, Ruto hinted that Kenya Kwanza Alliance has changed the country’s political narrative of creating top positions for few individuals to economic resuscitation politics.
“Today, we have changed the political narrative of creating top positions to benefit a few individuals to economic resuscitation politics. Even our competitors are now speaking our language of reviving the country’s ailing economy” Ruto said.
While defending the bottom-up economic model, Ruto informed that hustler nation’s bottom-up narrative was derived from God’s holy Bible from Psalms 113:7-8. He stated that bottom up speaks about empowering the low income earners and underprivileged in the society to improve their lifestyle.
“Our bottom-up economic model was even derived from the Bible. Psalms 113:7-8 says that He (God) raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people” added Ruto.
Amani National Congress (ANC) party boss Musalia Mudavadi is on the other hand fellowshipping in Kabarnet where he will hold series of rallies before converging on Nakuru later in the evening for series of rallies.
