Azimio – One Kenya secretary general Junet Mohamed has launched scathing attacks at Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate nominee Rigathi Gachagua for allegedly stealing relief food meant for the underprivileged and downtrodden people especially in drought prone areas.

Speaking in Navakholo on Saturday, 9th July, Junet dared Gachagua to challenge him through legal court procedure, if he (Gachagua) would

“Rigathi Gachagua aliiba Mahindi  na akafutwa kazi. Yeye hakuacha kazi, alifutwa baada ya kuiba mahindi. Na kama anaona nasema uongo, anipeleke kortini na ata nyinyi Wananchi tutawapea makaratasi tuko nayo kama evidence” Junet Mohamed said.

He claimed that Kenya Kwanza Alliance comprises of legislators who have questionable reputation and can’t be trusted with spearheading the government’s initiatives.

“Hii mrengo wa Kenya Kwisha, Kila mtu ni mwizi. Ruto mwenyewe ni mwizi, Rigathi Gachagua ni mwizi hao wengine Wote ni wezi. Mnataka kusema hawa watu wakipewa serikali, uchumi hautaanguka zaidi?” Junet added.

Junet vouched for Raila’s candidature wooing electorates to vote for Azimio – One Kenya in the forthcoming August contest.

The Azimio – One Kenya brigade has camped Western region on charm offensive visit to drum support for the coalition’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga ahead of next battle.

Deputy President William Ruto on the other hand has rented Turkana county with hustler nation narrative that he hopes will bridge the economic gap between the poor and the rich.

He has promised to pump billions of shillings into micro, small and medium business enterprises, as a mechanisms to confront the increasing rate of unemployment.

During the launch of  Kenya Kwanza manifesto, Ruto assured to invest heavily in Agricultural sector which is the backbone of the country’s economy.

Raila is set to face off Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential candidate William Ruto, who is his main challenger, Agano Party’s David Waihiga Mwaura and The Roots Party candidate George Luchiri Wajackoyah.
