Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege might be among the biggest victims should the Jubilee Party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC) meeting go according to the plan.

Chege, a nominated Jubilee MP, is among the ones who have turned their backs on the Azimio La Umoja coalition, and also claims to have overthrown former President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Party Leader.

The Star has found out that such will be among the agenda in the meeting to be headed by Uhuru, where kicking out such people from the party will be given priority after breaking away to form a rival team.

Consequently, it is reported, should Uhuru have his way, Chege might have her nomination recalled. It is believed that Uhuru still wields massive power and a meeting he chairs will leave behind victims. On Saturday, Uhuru shifted the venue of the meeting to Ngong Racecourse, after attempts to secure a space at the Bomas of Kenya flopped.

“Notice is hereby given that the venue of the Jubilee NDC has been moved to Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi. All other details remain as per the notice published on April 29, 2023,” he said in a notice.

Allies of Uhuru, led by Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and Vice Chair David Murathe have blamed President William Ruto for the fight in Jubilee, accusing him of sponsoring everything.

This is after Chege’s team made alleged changes to the party leadership, and claims to have replaced Kioni with EALA MP Kanini Kega. Murathe and National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi have also been replaced, according to the rival camp.
