Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has revealed that they have are not just sitting around after losing to President William Ruto in the August election.
Karua was then the running mate of ODM leader and Azimio La Umoja candidate Raila Odinga. The duo lost to Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua.
She has revealed that they are still of the belief that they never lost fairly, and are trying to find the truth on how their win was taken away from them.
The former Gichugu MP has said that they don’t agree with both the IEBC and Supreme Court outcomes, and are not about to accept defeat.
“The court spoke, we gave way and we are still searching for the truth. So I keep on having to say I do not believe he won,” she said on Spice FM.
She added that no amount of pressure will make her accept Ruto’s presidency, adding that though she accepts the outcome, she doesn’t agree with it.
“I still stand here to say that the results were doctored and that’s a personal position. You cannot stop my brain from working, you cannot force me to believe,” she added.
The same is Raila’s belief, given that he is yet to concede defeat. Raila lost for the fifth time, and has now shifted to criticizing Ruto’s policies.
Were Azimio to win, Karua, a former Justice Cabinet Minister was to be handed additional roles, with Raila hinting at making her Justice minister again.
