Raila Beats Ruto In Final Infotrak Poll Ahead of Tuesday Election

Azimio – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga is the most preferred candidate to bag victory on Tuesday, says Infotrak Research Firm.

Speaking during a press at Sarova Panafric Hotel, Milimani, Nairobi, Infotrak findings established that the former prime minister Raila Odinga leads the presidential race with 49 per cent while his main challenger for the state house seat, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate William Ruto commands 42 per cent.

The Roots Party presidential candidate George Luchiri Wajackoyah on the other hand enjoys 2 per cent of voters’ support while Agano Party’s David Waihiga Mwaure wields 0.3 per cent.

With less than six days remaining to Tuesday’s general election, 6 per cent of electorates still remains undecided as per the Infotrak survey.

This means the ODM boss would not secure the seat in the first round for failing to attain the constitutional requirement of 50+1 per cent.

Infotrak poll also indicated that Deputy President William Ruto leads in president Uhuru Kenyatta’s Mt Kenya backyard with 66 per cent as opposition chief controls 24 per cent.

Raila Odinga beats Ruto in Nyanza region as he banks on 70 per cent of the voters’ support.

Azimio – One Kenya leads in coastal region with 58 per cent as Kenya Kwanza umbrella enjoys 29 per cent. Wajackoyah comes third with 4 per cent support from the region.

Ruto defeats Raila in South Rift region (home turf) as he controls 66 per cent while Raila hopes to secure 31 per cent from the region. Wajackoyah and Mwaure takes 4 and 1 per cent respectively.

Raila and Ruto are racing against time to downplay each other for long awaited state house battle that is slated on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022.

The two horses have mastered the electorates wooing mechanisms especially in vote rich regions, Mt Kenya, Western, Coastal, Nyanza and Rift Valley, in the last lap of the campaigns before staging the final rallies on Saturday in Nairobi.
