“Wezi wa ndimi” City Hall staff Allan Wabwire’s fake lifestyle, lies and conmanship

Allan Ouma Wabwire, who serves as Governor Johnson Sakaja’s communication officer, has found himself in an embarrassing scandal that exposes the rot within Nairobi County leadership.

Leaked conversations paint a picture of a senior county staffer who has reduced himself to a serial beggar, constantly pestering friends and associates for money under the guise of delayed salaries and fake promises of repayment.

From the screenshots, Wabwire initially begged for Ksh 15,000, swearing he would refund the money as soon as his “salary hit the account.” Not long after, he returned with fresh excuses, raising his plea to Ksh 16,500, still insisting repayment would come “next week latest Thursday.”

At one point, he even dangled a fake official letter from the Office of the Controller of Budget, claiming county funds were being processed and that workers would soon be paid.

The letter, however, was only used to create sympathy and justify his constant financial demands.

Despite repeated assurances, Wabwire’s debts kept ballooning.

In another chat, he shamelessly admitted he was drowning in arrears, yet still pushed for another “small boost” to survive, this time raising the figure past Ksh 20,000.

In one instance, he sent a desperate message saying “Njaa itaniua huku kaka” while forwarding a Kenya County Government Workers Union letter about salary delays  another excuse to emotionally blackmail his lender into sending him money.

This exposes the deeper rot in Nairobi County where senior officials, instead of upholding dignity, transparency, and professionalism, are caught up in scandals that embarrass the offices they hold.

Wabwire’s behavior raises serious questions about the integrity of Sakaja’s inner circle. How can the governor’s top communication officer a man trusted with managing the public image of the county be drowning in personal debts, borrowing from one individual multiple times, and using forged or misrepresented documents to justify his begging?

From Ksh 15,000, to Ksh 16,500, and now over Ksh 20,000, Allan Ouma Wabwire’s begging spree has spiraled out of control.

Nairobians deserve to know why such individuals remain in office, embarrassing the county with reckless personal behavior while enjoying taxpayers’ money.

If Sakaja is serious about accountability and restoring trust, then he must act on Wabwire’s scandal before it stains his leadership further.
