President William Ruto has announced significant changes to his cabinet, appointing Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi as the Acting Cabinet Secretary in all ministries.

This decision follows the president’s dismissal of all cabinet secretaries and the rescinding of Justin Muturi’s appointment as Attorney General.

In a gazette notice dated Thursday, July 11, President Ruto cited Article 152 (5) (b) of the Constitution to justify the dismissal of the cabinet secretaries. The notice confirmed that Mudavadi would now be responsible for all ministerial portfolios, stepping in as the Acting CS.”
