Hon. Agnes Kagure, a renowned business mogul from Nairobi and a politician, has this morning came out to boldly commend the Kenyan youth for their continued push for accountability from their elected leaders across the country.
Through her socials, specifically Facebook on July 9, the outspoken politician didn’t waste a second to openly encourage he youth for their newfound zeal in keeping their leaders accountable and opined that accountability is the main ingredient for a thriving democracy.
According to Agnes Kagure, being accountable is one way of promoting democracy in all sectors and it should be embraced since developing nations were at some point in need of accountable leaders, and here they are.
“I’m impressed by the new wave of accountability that our youth have made those in government embrace. Accountability strengthens democracy and we must all play our part in building our country and strengthening our democracy. Tuendelee vivyo hivyo,”

The message from Agnes Kagure comes barely a day after a historic X space chat between President William Ruto and thousands of Kenyans where Kenyans asked pertinent issues and the president responded to their issues including the fight against corruption, general demeanor of cabinet secretaries and elected leaders.
Following the increased interaction between the presidency and Kenyans online, budgets to the office of the First Lady and Second Lady were abolished and a forensic tax audit debts team was appointed to probe Kenya’s foreign debts.
