Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday joined the growing list of Kenyans who feel that Pres William Ruto is likely to make a record as the only President who served Kenyans for a five-year term only, if close allies wont shake off their bad behaviors that are making the masses to dislike Ruto and his govt.

Speaking when he attended a church service in Nyeri and where he appeared to be in deep regret over a section of Mt Kenya leaders who have teamed up with his opponents to fight him politically, the second in command didn’t mince his words when he openly revealed that should the war on illicit brew in the Mt Kenya region and the nation at large fails to bear fruits Ruto stands being hated by Kenyans.

In his message, DP. Gachagua did reveal that there is a group of well-organized individuals possibly with the blessings of some powerful forces and who is determined to ensure that the war on illicit brew won’t be won. In his partying shot, Gachagua in an indirect warning to President William Ruto said it is important to understand that the Mt Kenya region voted the way it did simply because they had been promised something about illegal brew.

He noted that during his morning jog today, he found young men in a ditch signifying that they were abusing drugs.

As a result, the DP vowed to discipline the officers who were wrongfully taking their directions from an MP. Earlier, Gachagua had negotiated dowry for Wamumbi.

“When I started hearing last week that some people started interfering with that work, I heard that our local MP had directed the security officers in Karatina purporting on orders from above to reopen our bars.

“First, an MP cannot instruct security officers and if the security officers are taking orders from this region taking instructions from an MP, we shall discipline them,” he explained.

He further added that he had noticed that some officers within the Interior Ministry were frustrating the government’s efforts to fight the drug menace.

He noted that their thinking was that if the drug menace worsened, it would hurt Gachagua’s political ambitions since fighting drugs was directly under the DP’s purview.
