Former Nairobi Gov Hon. Mike Sonko has this evening distanced himself from claims and reports that he has been charging Kenyans money to help them secure jobs in overseas countries, especially in the Middle East.
Through her X handle this evening, the outspoken politico said it sickens that some people are after conning Kenyans their hard-earned money, adding that he doesn’t do such businesses.

Sonko also clarified that he doesn’t have social media accounts to organize Jobs, warning Kenyans not to fall prey to conmen and conwomen who are masking behind his name to create pseudo accounts.
“Beware just recently unsuspecting Kenyans were swindled over 600m wakidanganywa watapelekwa job majuu. In what seems to be another scam, imposters have opened various social media accounts in my name to lie to Kenyans in broad daylight ati nitawaconnect na free jobs in Canada na ati someone is supposed to pay 10k as application fees. Pls plse musilipe pesa itaenda.,” Sonko wrote on X.

In the video he shared on X, Hon. Mike Sonko showed off his high-end cars where (maybe) he intended to insinuate that he doesn’t need to con Kenyans their money to get rich. He warned that Kenyans risk having their money stolen should they trust thieves.
Elsewhere, Flashy city pastor-cum-businessman James Wanjohi has been granted an anticipatory bail of Ksh.100,000, with the court barring police from arresting or detaining him in a fraud case.
However, the court noted that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the police are still at liberty to investigate or charge him.

In the case, Wanjohi is alleged to have obtained over Ksh.600 million after defrauding 4,000 Kenyans while promising them Visas to travel abroad.
In documents filed in court through his lawyer Danstan Omari, he has however denied the allegations.
He said that he has not committed any offence in the country and has never been linked to any criminal activity.
