4 Major Announcements Set To Cause Political Earthquake Today

Kenyans are bracing for four major political announcements today, Monday 16th May, 2022 that might shift political discourse especially in two perceived bigwig factions (Azimio – One Kenya and Kenya Kwanza Alliance) ahead of August 9 contest.

The former prime minister and Azimio – One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga is expected name his running mate today, at 11am at KICC.

According to reports, more than eight (8) governors are expected to grace the heroic event. They include; Governor Kananu from Nairobi, Charity Ngilu from Kitui, Joho from Mombasa, Godana from Tana River, Nderitu Murithi, Kimemi,Ongwae and Oparanya. Also expected are governors from Luo Nyanza who includes Cyprian Awiti, Anyang Nyongo among others who have been vocal in championing for Raila Odinga.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is also vouching to make a thunderous announcement after reports indicated that Raila might ignore him (Kalonzo) for principal assistant position in Azimio – One Kenya camp.

Kalonzo had earlier on, threatened to ditch Azimio if he won’t be picked to deputize Raila in next election. He cautioned Raila of losing presidency to DP Ruto if he will be snubbed for running mate seat.

Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki, who bowed out of Gubernatorial race to vouch for National politics is also expected to make a declaration after DP Ruto named Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua for deputy position.

“I am eternally grateful to all those who supported & vouched for me to be nominated the UDA & Kenya Kwanza Deputy Presidential Candidate in the Elections scheduled for 9th August 2022. Following the decision taken by my Party & Coalition regarding the matter earlier today, I will make my official statement in public tomorrow, 16th May 2022. God bless Kenya and thank you.” Kindiki said.

Chama Cha Kazi party leader and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is also warming for a big announcement today at Chama Cha Kazi Headquarter, Garden Estate, Nairobi.
