Through a series of posts on X (Former Twitter) on June 27, one Kenyan lady, Nyar Kendu, has lamented and blamed the loss of her mother on the alleged neglect by Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, wife to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The emotional scenario played out as Nyar Kendu recounted how things took a twist for the worst when her mother was discharged from the hospital.

“So my mum gets diagnosed with cancer around 2018 when she came back from the states,” Nyar Kendu wrote, her pain palpable through each word.
She then narrates that after the diagnosis, their life took another course, and they moved into Ridor, a small apartment complex owned by Pastor Dorcas.

According to Nyar Kendu, the lowest point was when the structural problems caused a water tank in their apartment to fall.
“That day, the pressure of the water caused the stand to collapse, and the tank slid right into my mum’s bedroom,” Nyar Kendu recounted as she remembered the chaos that led up to them getting her mother to the hospital, yet so much for the promised support, according to Nyar Kendu, from Pastor Dorcas, which she claimed came but only briefly and was followed by indifference.
“My mom finally gets her surgery. but the bill is like half a mil,” she wrote, detailing the financial strain compounded by Pastor Dorcas allegedly blocking communication after previously offering to help.

The family moved on, but the whole process took a significant toll on the treatment and recovery of her mother.
“We ended up moving out of the place completely.but now we were told we had to halt the cancer treatment because the treatment for the wound, and by the time we were going back to the treatment, it was too late,” Nyar Kendu lamented, her grief evident in each typed character.
In what read like a lamentation, Nyar Kendu concluded about actions by Pastor Dorcas: “I am not saying she killed my mum, but her negligence played a huge role in it, and her pretense in the name of God was even worse.”
