Residents of Eastleigh, Nairobi, are reeling in shock following the brutal murders of a woman, her daughter, and her niece, whose mutilated bodies were found dumped at different locations across the Nairobi Metropolitan Area.

The victims, identified as Waris Daud, her 21-year-old daughter Amina Abdirashid, and 12-year-old niece Nuseiba Dahir, were last seen on Monday night.

The family’s nightmare began the next day when they were informed that bodies had been discovered in Parklands, Bahati, and Machakos—each killed in a similarly gruesome manner.

Amina’s body, half-naked with visible stab wounds on her back, chest, and head, was found on Mwambo Road early Tuesday morning. Police said the scene appeared undisturbed, with no signs of struggle.

Two hours later, Nuseiba’s body was discovered near Bahati Primary School, her clothes stained with blood but showing no visible injuries. Officers recovered a knife and noticed tyre marks, indicating the body may have been transported by a vehicle.

Meanwhile, Waris’ remains were found in a bush along the Kyumbi-Machakos road. Athi River South Police Commander Philis Muthoni reported that her body had deep cuts, with her wrists severed, ears mutilated, and eyes gouged out. “She was sexually assaulted,” Muthoni confirmed.

Authorities suspect that the victims were killed elsewhere and their bodies dumped. CCTV footage captured the two girls leaving their apartment in a taxi on Monday night, marking the last time they were seen alive.

Nairobi police commander Adamson Bungei stated that the homicide unit is investigating the case and questioning family members. “We are working actively to uncover what happened,” he said.
