An explosive revelation has placed Safaricom at the centre of a highly organised abduction network, with the telecom giant allegedly providing precise user locations that facilitate the tracking and disappearance of individuals.

Insiders claim Safaricom is the only telecommunications operator in Kenya capable of offering exact location data, a feature that has allegedly been weaponised to target dissenters and youth activists.

According to a post on X by Adani-JKIA whistleblower Nelson Amenya, While other operators provide only general locations, Safaricom’s advanced capabilities reportedly enable operatives to track individuals to their very doorstep.

The allegations include the deployment of IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) catchers, devices that impersonate legitimate cell towers to extract mobile data.

Safaricom’s network infrastructure is said to play a pivotal role, allowing these devices to seamlessly isolate targets.

“Once they have your number, Safaricom provides your precise location, making you an easy catch,” the source revealed.

The process allegedly begins with the acquisition of an individual’s phone number. Safaricom’s system reportedly enables access to personal data, including ID numbers and addresses, pulled from various government databases.

From there, NHIF, KRA, and employment records are obtained to build a complete profile of the target.

What’s more alarming is the alleged collaboration between Safaricom and these abduction teams. By supplying precise data, Safaricom is accused of enabling operatives to set up fake cell towers that trick all nearby devices into connecting.

This isolates the target’s phone, allowing the operatives to track their movements with pinpoint accuracy.

Kenyans are now questioning Safaricom’s role in this deeply troubling operation. Critics argue that a company of its stature has no excuse for allowing its infrastructure to be used in such a manner.

The lack of transparency and accountability has left the public wondering: Is Safaricom a silent enabler of human rights violations?

The company has yet to respond to these damning allegations.
