Deputy President William Ruto is rumoured to be reconsidering to initiate changes for his running mate choice following Raila Odinga’s move to pick Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua for deputy.
According to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general Edwin Sifuna, speculations have intimated that DP Ruto might be warming up to drop Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua for the running mate position and pick another candidate for the coveted running mate slot as a move to counter Raila’s inspired choice of Martha Karua.
“Murmurs from Karen that Barabas may be dropped from the ticket following Baba’s inspired choice of Martha”said Sifuna.
He also expressed confidence in Karua political developments especially in Mt Kenya region that is reportedly defacing the grip of hustler nation ahead of August election.
“The BabaNaMama wave sweeping the country with casualties” he added.
This emerges after another rumour lawyer Korir Sing’oei having filed an appeal at the High Court seeking to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to allow DP Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance presidential candidate ticket to be amended.
