Just a day after launching his manifesto, it has emerged that DP Ruto has started turning tables on Raila as it emerges that he has beaten Raila clean. As this happens, it has emerged that DP Ruto has beaten Raila in both the Western regions, Mt. Kenya, Ukambani, Coast, and Nairobi among several others. Ruto beat him with more than half of the total vote count in this region.

This sends a message that the ground is gradually getting sloppy and Raila is now slipping off. Raila has been trying to campaign in Mt. Kenya among other counties however, the resistance he is facing is so high. This is the same at the grassroots level where his leaders have continued outsmarting their competitors.

Jalango beats Nixon Korir in Langata

Nixon Korir, a UDA candidate, received a dusty, altering the terrain rating in the most recent poll conducted in the Langata Constituency. To secure Kenyans’ support in the upcoming elections in 2022, the leaders have vowed to go above and beyond. Instead of saying that the election is between the four presidential contenders, it would be better to say that Raila Odinga and William Ruto are the two front-runners.

Recent polls in the Langata constituency show that incumbent MP Nixon Korir would lose his post if elections were held right now. With 38 percent of the vote versus the incumbent’s 29 percent, Jalango will triumph.

Raila

With only 45 days left until the election, the IEBC is preparing by hiring and training clerks, POs, and DPOs in order to hold a free and fair election.

A lot is expected in this tough battle than ever before where IEBC is going to be very strict on some of these candidates. DP Ruto’s men have continued shinning in most of these counties sending jitters in Raila’s camp. The tough question remains will Raila make it and beat DP Ruto in August.
