All Africa Conference Churches (AACC) have instigated fresh war on Nairobi senator and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja’s Bachelor of Science in Management External degree certificate from Team University, Uganda.

The Conference Churches now demands Team University to provide Senator’s admission letter at the institution, Details of payment of tuition fees, mode of instructions leading to the award of degree to Sakaja, a copy indicating the number of classes he attended, and deduce whether he met the requisite threshold prior to graduation and certified copy of graduation booklet of those who graduated in October, 21st, 2016.

“Sakaja was a nominated Member of Parliament in Kenya between 2013 and 2017. Therefore it is not practically possible that he physically attended classes at Team University as the university has no campus in Kenya and from the available records in the Kenyan parliament, there is no evidence of Sakaja’s absenteeism from parliament to enable him to have physically attended the school,” the letter reads.

AACC also argued that Team University had not been licensed to offer E-learning courses between 2012 and 2016, the period Sakaja claimed to have undertaken his studies at the institution.

“As for online classes, your university was not licensed to offer online classes and indeed did not offer any such classes during the period between 2012 and 2016 when Mr Sakaja claims to have attended the school.” added the letter.

Sakaja is said to have traveled to Uganda only once, in 2014, for parliamentary reasons.

Sakaja has been embroiled in a degree saga after the forgery claims almost thwarted his clearance to vie for Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

He has been on the record claiming that he graduated from The University of Nairobi in Actuarial Science and never attended any learning institution outside Kenya.

The commission for University Education (CUE) is still investigating Sakaja’s degree certificate saga.
