Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja’s time in office has been full of problems. His government has been linked to corruption, poor leadership, and social injustices.
Now, with talk of an endorsement from ODM leader Raila Odinga, some believe this could mark the beginning of the end for him.
Sakaja’s leadership has been nothing short of a disaster. Under his watch, Nairobi has suffered endless scandals, mismanagement, and failed projects.

Public money has disappeared, services have deteriorated, and residents continue to struggle while his government enjoys lavish spending. His failure to control corruption has left Nairobians frustrated and disillusioned.
Raila Odinga, a man known for shaping political careers, may have unknowingly exposed Sakaja to more scrutiny. Instead of lifting him politically, the endorsement has turned the spotlight on his failures.
With people now paying closer attention, Sakaja’s broken leadership is becoming even clearer.
Even within ODM, Sakaja is facing resistance. Leaders like Babu Owino and Tim Wanyonyi have openly criticized his leadership, saying he has failed Nairobi.

They believe ODM should not support him, and their opposition shows just how weak Sakaja’s position is.
Rather than strengthening his chances, this so-called endorsement has only reminded people why he does not deserve a second term.
Sakaja’s leadership has been a disappointment, and no political move can erase that reality. The people of Nairobi deserve better.
For instance, Johnson Sakaja has always received backlash from Nairobians and Kenyans at large during rainy seasons where roads become impassable, sewege breakages as well as unmanaged dumpsites.
Also, Sakaja when it comes to the issue of service delivery or for a better word the fulfillment of the 2022 election pledges has found himself in hot camp where Kenyans have continued to slam him.
