Ruto to lose lieutenants to Azimio

The residents of Nakuru county were randomly asked who they would vote for by any chance election was held today and they were allowed to vote. It was found out that out of 92 Nakuru residents who participated in the voting process, 73 voted for Raila while 10 voted for Wajackoyah. The worst is that William Ruto was voted by only nine people. If this opinion poll reflects the reality of the current situation on the ground, then it will be an uphill task for Ruto to beat Raila in the county.

The 10 counties of Kiambu, Nakuru, Kirinyaga, Meru, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Laikipia Tharaka Nithi, Embu, and Murang’a make up the broader Mount Kenya region. In previous elections, the area was antagonistic against Raila but this time round, it has turned into a battleground between William Ruto and the Azimio candidate. This came after Uhuru and Raila shook hands and Martha Karua was chosen as the running partner for the Azimio presidential campaign.

Even if most Mount Kenya leaders are with Ruto, it will be challenging for him to defeat Odinga in Nakuru county. In reality, Raila defeated Ruto by a wide margin in the most recent opinion survey conducted by KTN News Kenya in Nakuru yesterday.

The two political bigwigs are expected to lock horns toughly on the ballot in the coming August general election. The two candidates are currently crisscrossing the country in hunt of votes in race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. Mt kenya region has become the epicenter of the battle between the two candidates. Everyone appears to be hunting for the high vote count in this region given that it has always been a game changer for many politicians who win them.

A lot is expected the more we near August as DP Ruto who was previously popular faces major setback.
