Raila Odinga has said that Mt. Kenya area did not reject him in the 9th August general elections, as many are claiming.
Instead, Mr. Odinga claimed that his lower-than-expected vote total was the result of a “planned strategy.”
According to him, the majority of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya candidates in the region were affected by this.
The Jubilee Party’s secretary-general, Jeremiah Kioni, claimed that administrators and officials from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) were behind the plot.
Mr. Kioni vowed to support Mr. Odinga, calling him “the best leader Kenya has ever had.”
“We will stand by Odinga and follow through on everything. We’re determined to see him take the top spot,” Kioni said.
Mr. Odinga further declared that he would not be coerced into serving in the “illegitimate” Kenya Kwanza government.
He pleaded with his followers and Kenyans in general to back him, saying that the August 9 General Election’s truth would soon come to light.
The opposition leader vowed not to back down and said he will come clean “at the correct time.”
“We are aware of the events. Just wait. At some point, the truth will come out. Those responsible for the scam will feel ashamed of themselves,” he added
