Sports CS Kipchumba Murkomen, former Trade CS Moses Kuria, and President William Ruto have been accused of involvement in corrupt dealings related to the acquisition of aircraft and airport assets.

These allegations, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), claim that Murkomen bought planes via an Adani deal, Kuria purchased aircraft using funds from an edible oils scandal, and President Ruto has acquired an entire hangar at Wilson Airport.

The accusations were made by blogger Maverick Aoko, who took to social media to expose what she called high-level corruption within the government.

Aoko alleged that these officials are part of a broader scheme tied to Adani Group, which recently expressed intentions to invest billions of US dollars in upgrading Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and other airports in Kenya.

She claimed these deals led to the dissolution and subsequent reinstatement of the cabinet, describing the implicated officials as “co-looters.”

Aoko’s claims have raised concerns, particularly in light of Adani Group’s past involvement in economic crimes in India.

Despite these accusations, top government officials have remained silent, sparking speculation about the transparency of their dealings with Adani.

The group is also reportedly eyeing investments in Kenya’s energy and health sectors, which has further intensified public scrutiny.

If her allegations hold weight, they could lead to further investigations and damage the credibility of those implicated, raising questions about the government’s integrity in handling international investments.
