‘Mambo Na Kitanda Ni Tricky’ Eve Mungai on Why it Took Long Before Parting Ways With Trevor

Eve Mungai, the former girlfriend of popular YouTuber Trevor, has opened up about their breakup and the challenges they faced in their relationship. In an exclusive interview with Andrew Kibe, which is yet to be aired, Mungai revealed that she had always wanted to go separate ways with Trevor, but was afraid of losing him.

Mungai said that she and Trevor had been dating for over two years, but they had grown apart and had different goals in life. She said that she was unhappy and felt trapped in the relationship, but she could not muster the courage to end it. She said that one of the reasons she stayed was because of their intimate bond, which she described as “tricky”.

“Mambo na kitanda ni tricky. You know when you have slept with someone for so long, you feel like you are attached to them. You feel like you can’t live without them. You feel like you owe them something. But deep down, you know that you are not compatible. You know that you are not happy. You know that you deserve better. But you are afraid of being alone. You are afraid of starting over. You are afraid of hurting them. That’s how I felt with Trevor,” she said.

Mungai said that the final straw that broke the camel’s back was when Trevor cheated on her with another woman. She said that she found out through social media, and she confronted him. She said that Trevor denied it at first, but later admitted it and begged for forgiveness. She said that she was heartbroken and angry, and she decided to call it quits.

“I was so hurt and betrayed. I felt like he had taken me for granted. I felt like he had disrespected me. I felt like he had wasted my time. I felt like he had played with my feelings. I felt like he had lied to me. I felt like he had cheated on me. I felt like he had broken my trust. I felt like he had broken my heart. I felt like he had broken me. I told him it was over. I told him I was done. I told him I was leaving. And I did,” she said.

Mungai said that after the breakup, Trevor took over their YouTube channel, which they had started together and had amassed over one million subscribers. She said that she was left with nothing, and she had to start her own channel from scratch. She said that it was hard and painful, but she was determined to make it on her own.

“I had to start from zero. I had to build my own brand. I had to create my own content. I had to find my own audience. I had to prove myself. I had to work hard. I had to hustle. I had to struggle. I had to survive. I had to succeed. And I did,” she said.
