National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has voiced his frustration over the persistent complaints and political disruptions from Nyanza leaders.
Speaking at the 35th graduation ceremony at Migori Teachers Training College, Mbadi urged the region’s political figures to focus on governance and stop the unnecessary noise.
Mbadi criticized the constant agitation coming from local leaders, urging them to act like responsible members of the Kenya Kwanza government.

“Stop the constant agitation you can’t keep complaining and making noise about everything,” he said.
He called for a shift in priorities, advising the leaders to leave future political debates, such as those surrounding the 2027 elections, for later.
“Let’s focus on governing and leave 2027 politics for the future,” he added.
The CS expressed concern that leaders from the region were placing unrealistic demands on the government, demanding more than could be reasonably addressed at once.
“We can’t keep begging as if we’re not at the table we are in government and must act like it,” Mbadi stated.

He emphasized the need for patience, urging Nyanza’s political leaders to trust the government’s ability to bring about development.
“Let’s learn to be humble and patient when good things are on the horizon,” he said.
Mbadi also emphasized the importance of cooperation, particularly in light of the political tensions in Migori.
He warned against the danger of internal divisions, which he believes could harm the region’s prospects for development.
“Stop unnecessary political pressure. If you keep fighting among yourselves, there will be no development here,” he asserted.
Nyatike MP Tom Odege echoed Mbadi’s sentiments, stressing the need for unity. He cautioned that political rivalries were undermining development in the region, urging leaders to prioritize progress over division.
Mbadi’s remarks come months after he reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to President William Ruto, vowing to support the President’s vision for Kenya.
