Maybets, a new betting company in Kenya, is under fire for failing to pay people who provided services to them. Influencer Milton Were has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to call out the company for not paying suppliers and workers.
“Oya Maybets Official, influencers wengi na kulipa suppliers is where you draw the line? Pay up the suppliers!” Were posted, showing his frustration with the company.
He added, “Let’s not get into this weekend without you guys paying suppliers. It’s shameful to start a company yesterday and today it’s full of impunity of not paying people who are service providers. PAY NOW!!! PAY NOW!!! PAY NOW!!!”
Were accused Maybets of ignoring their financial obligations and exploiting the hard work of service providers. He demanded immediate payment, saying their silence was not only unprofessional but also unethical.
“Pay me my rightful wages that I worked for! Your operations run smoothly while you exploit service providers without communication. This is unacceptable,” he posted.
Many others have joined the conversation, criticising Maybets for failing to pay their workers and suppliers. The outcry has put the company’s reputation on the line, with people calling for accountability and fairness.
Maybets has yet to respond to the claims, leaving those affected angry and disappointed. Their refusal to pay has raised questions about the company’s honesty and business practices.
