Public Service CS Hon. Moses Kuria has this evening claimed that a prominent Mt. Kenya leader has instructed Jeremiah Kioni not to allow him to attend the much-anticipated Limuru III meeting or risk being denied funds to support the meeting, which will discuss issues affecting the Mt. Kenya region.
According to a report by NTV during its 9 PM news bulletin, CS Moses Kuria said it is sickening that the issue of the Limuru III meeting has been privatized, contrary to the past when all leaders were welcomed to offer their views.

“Limuru has always been about the community, not individuals, and not politics. Co-convenor Jeremiah Kioni has publicly and privately informed me that I am not welcome at Limuru III. He has said that I have invited myself.
“I am aware that a very senior and powerful personality with prior experience in provincial administration is financing Limuru III, and he has given instructions to Kioni that if I attend, he will not finance it,” CS Kuria said.
Also, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Thursday took a swipe at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua following the latter’s alleged attempts to intervene in the planned Mt Kenya caucus dubbed Limuru III.

The CS expressed his displeasure with the deputy president’s attempts to convince Martha Karua and Jeremiah Kioni to change their stance on the Limuru III meeting.
The second in command allegedly invited Karua and Kioni to his Karen residence in Nairobi in a bid to address the plights of the two leaders.
However, the deputy president’s move did not augur well with CS Kuria who dismissed Gachagua’s call for a meeting with the two Azimio politicians.

“He is my boss but I don’t agree with him because we were elected by the people to solve their issues,” CS Kuria remarked on Gachagua’s sentiments to Karua and Kioni.
Jeremiah Kioni and Martha Karua are alleged to be among the leaders spearheading the Limuru III meeting alongside other prominent Mt Kenya politicians.
