Kenya Kwanza affiliates have proposed to ban DP Ruto’s running mate nominee Rigathi Gachagua from media interviews or limit media airtime following the recent damning utterances at Inooro Radio Station.
Mathira legislator hinted at closing Safaricom company and other large corporate entities to boost micro, small and medium business enterprises across the country, when elected to deputize Ruto in August battle.
Gachagua informed that Kenya Kwanza Alliance is centered at uplifting the lives of underprivileged and low income earners through empowerment programs and this will only be achieved through reducing market competitions by killing large corporate entities such as Safaricom.
However, the termed careless remarks have jostle jitters and anxiety in Kenya Kwanza with legislators accusing the running mate for submerging the Mt Kenya votes unknowingly with such utterances.
According to Standard, Ruto allies says that many large business enterprises in the country are owned by Kikuyus and threatening to close their various companies and firms might backfire to Ruto’s bid of seeking votes in the region.
The lawmakers have suggested Ruto to block Gachagua or limit media airtime to avoid such careless mistakes that might haunt Kenya Kwanza presidency ahead of next election.
