Allegations have surfaced regarding the payment of Ksh 1000 to goons who were subsequently killed in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD). This incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about the underlying motives and individuals behind these payments.
A disturbing photo, shared widely on social media, shows the aftermath of a violent encounter where the lifeless bodies of two young men lay on the street, bloodied and surrounded by onlookers.
The photo, accompanied by a post from Babu Owino, the current MP for Embakasi East, claims that these young men were paid to incite violence during a peaceful protest.
Earlier, a group of Bodaboda riders infiltrated peaceful protests by Gen Z against President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza (KK) administration. The protests were calling for Ruto to be given a chance to rule.
Babu Owino’s post directly accuses Sakaja Johnson, the current Governor of Nairobi, of exploiting these youths by paying them a meagre sum of Ksh 1000 to disrupt the protests, only to abandon them to their fate.
His statement reads, “Yaani Sakaja unatumia hawa vijana vibaya kisha unawaliipa 1K to beat Gen Zs then unawawacha wauliwe? This time it’s brains not dimples that shall be elected.”
The graphic nature of the video and the accompanying allegations have ignited a firestorm of controversy. Kenyans are demanding accountability and justice for the lives lost, calling for a thorough investigation into the incident.
The video serves as a grim reminder of the exploitation and danger that many young people face, often manipulated for political or financial gain.
As the story continues to develop, the nation watches closely, hoping for clarity and justice for the victims of this tragic and brutal event.
