Nairobi’s MassHouse Club, a well-known party spot along Ngong Racecourse, is under fire after a Strathmore University student, Mathew, died in unclear circumstances.

His tragic death has left many Kenyans outraged, demanding answers and justice.

Mathew had gone to the club to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but what was meant to be a fun night ended in horror.

According to a police report, his body was found collapsed on the club’s staircase.

However, an autopsy later revealed that he had suffered injuries from an altercation which means (possibly) he was killed.

This shocking revelation has only fueled public anger, with many believing the club is hiding the truth.

His brother, using the handle @ross_corleone, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration:

“Good morning Kenyans, please assist me, I lost my brother on Sunday at MassHouse. The police report said the joint found a young man collapsed kwa stairs, autopsy jana shows he was killed.”

MassHouse Club issued a short statement acknowledging the incident but gave little information.

They simply confirmed the incident happened between Friday night and early Saturday morning and promised to cooperate with authorities.

But their silence on key details has left many questioning their sincerity.

Meanwhile, investigations are moving slowly, raising fears of a cover-up.

Kenyans have seen this pattern before where clubs remain open despite fatal incidents, and justice is delayed until the public moves on.

Many have taken to social media to ask why entertainment joints prioritize making money over the safety of their customers.

This isn’t the first time a young person has died in a Nairobi club, and if nothing is done, it won’t be the last.

Nightclubs have become hotspots for violence, yet little is being done to fix this.

Lax security, reckless bouncers, and over-serving of alcohol continue to put lives at risk.
