Land Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome is facing serious allegations of using her position to interfere with land cases in Nairobi courts.

The CS, responsible for overseeing land affairs in the country, is accused of manipulating legal processes to influence case outcomes, according to sources familiar with the matter.

It is alleged that Wahome’s daughter, through her law firm Wahome and Akendi Advocates, has been at the center of fraudulent activities involving forged title deeds.

According to blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, Reports claim that the firm has facilitated the production of fake land documents, which have been used to collapse land disputes and tilt legal rulings in favor of certain individuals.

Further allegations suggest that Wahome has been using proxies at the land registry to illegally generate and award title deeds, even in cases where ownership is still in dispute.

Some of the properties affected are tied up in ongoing court cases, while others are yet to be legally contested.

If proven, these claims could have far-reaching implications for property ownership in Nairobi and beyond.

As a result, affected parties are now preparing formal complaints to be presented to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), calling for an investigation into Wahome and her daughter’s law firm.

The growing public concern over the allegations has intensified calls for transparency and accountability in the handling of land matters.

Neither Alice Wahome nor the Kenya Kwanza administration has issued an official statement on the accusations.

Interestingly, the development comes barely days after former Deputy President Riggy G claimed that the Ministry of Lands headed by Alice Wahome and which is in charge of the ongoing Affordable Housing program is rocked by serious financial crimes.
