Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has allegedly been linked to the recent attack on Mumias East MP Peter Salasya at Nyayo Stadium.
The claims were made by activist Francis Gaitho on X, sparking heated debates and mixed reactions from Kenyans online.

According to reports, Salasya was attacked by goons after arriving at Nyayo Stadium yesterday, which came a day after allegedly disrespecting ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.
In a leaked Whatsapp conversation, a person by the name Sakaja in what appears like issuing instruction says that ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga must be respected by all means.
The controversy has raised concerns over the growing culture of political intolerance and violence in the country.
Many Kenyans on social media have weighed in on the allegations, with some accusing Sakaja of contradicting himself—publicly preaching peace while allegedly allowing violence behind the scenes.
One X user, @Mandich17, expressed disappointment, saying, “A whole governor encouraging violence? What a shame. You are preaching peace on top of vehicles and doing the opposite on the other side.”
Others demanded proof of Sakaja’s alleged involvement, while some dismissed the claims as mere political propaganda.
Meanwhile, several users questioned MP Salasya’s actions before the attack, with some suggesting that his remarks about Raila Odinga may have provoked the incident.
However, no official statement has been released by Salasya himself regarding the assault.
Governor Sakaja has also not yet responded to the allegations, leaving the public in suspense. His silence has only fueled further speculation about his potential involvement or knowledge of the attack.
The incident comes at a time when political tensions in Kenya remain high, with rival factions increasingly engaging in heated confrontations.
Analysts warn that such acts of political violence could set a dangerous precedent if not addressed.
As the debate continues, all eyes are on Sakaja and Salasya for their official statements.
Whether the attack was politically motivated or a result of personal differences remains unclear. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
This is a developing story.
