In a startling development, Deputy President Gachagua, under the leadership of President William Ruto, has come under fire from Mt Kenya Lawyer, Ndegwa Njiru. The President’s recent move to appoint Raila Odiga loyalists and his acceptance of the NADCO report during a statehouse event yesterday has drawn criticism.
The event, attended by Opposition chiefs, with the notable absence of Raila, saw Njiru use the famous phrase “the wind has blown and the chicken anus is visible” to express his disapproval of Gachagua’s actions. He warned that it is now evident that Ruto no longer needs the Mt Kenya region.
Njiru’s attempts to remind the Mt Kenya Region that President William Ruto also known as Zakayo is not keen on creating another power house in the mountain in the name of the Deputy President Gachagua have been met with resistance. The Region have reportedly dismissed his concerns, telling him “Pole utapona,” a Swahili phrase meaning “Sorry, you will heal.”
The lawyer’s comments have stirred up a political storm, highlighting the tensions within the region’s political landscape. The phrase “the wind has blown and the chicken anus is visible” is now being used to symbolize the unveiling of hidden political agendas and the shifting alliances within the region’s political sphere.
This development marks a significant shift in the region’s political dynamics, with the potential to reshape alliances and power structures. As the political winds continue to blow, the implications of these changes remain to be seen.
“My attempts to remind the TUGEGES that Zakayo is not keen on creating another POWER HOUSE in the mountain in the name of the former DO has been met with resistance from the TUGEGES…They have told me ati Pole utapona…NOW the wind has blown and the chicken ANUS is visible,” Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru wrote on Twitter.
