Kisii Woman Representative Dorice Donya is in the spotlight after being accused of trying to silence a whistleblower who exposed the alleged misuse of Ksh 19.7 million in NGAAF funds.
Justin Siocha, the man behind the revelations, has shared a shocking account of being abducted, detained, and intimidated over the scandal.
Speaking out, Siocha said he was arrested at his home early Thursday morning by officers allegedly acting on Donya’s orders.
His home was searched, his phones were seized, and he was taken to the Kisii DCI office. Siocha says he was interrogated about a Facebook page that had been criticising Donya.
“They wanted me to confess to running the page, but I told them I didn’t have access to it anymore,” he explained.
Things got worse when Donya reportedly showed up during the questioning. According to Siocha, she hurled insults at him and demanded he hand over the page. “She even bragged about using her position to crush critics,” he claimed.
After hours of questioning, Siocha was transferred to Nairobi, held at Capital Hill Police Station, and later released without charges.
He believes this was a tactic to intimidate him and others who are calling for accountability in the management of public funds.
Siocha also revealed that Donya has allegedly submitted a list of 30 people she wants investigated, including MP Anthony Kibagendi. He sees this as another attempt to silence those who know too much.
Despite the ordeal, Siocha is standing his ground. “This is bigger than me. Public funds need to be accounted for,” he said.
The incident has sparked outrage, with many Kenyans demanding transparency and fairness in handling the NGAAF funds scandal.
