Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has ignited political discourse with a stark warning to President William Ruto, forecasting a potent political movement poised to dethrone him from leadership. During a sad gathering in Kaiti, Makueni, Musyoka articulated his readiness to vie for the presidency, positioning himself as the formidable contender capable of defeating Ruto in the forthcoming general election.

Drawing parallels to recent political shifts in Senegal, Musyoka prognosticated a similar upheaval in Kenya’s 2027 elections. “The political situation that will engulf Kenya in 2027 will probably be stronger than what the people of Senegal just witnessed,” he asserted, voicing the collective discontent and the populace’s demand for their rights to be upheld.

Musyoka’s rhetoric intensified as he envisioned a scenario reminiscent of Kenya’s pivotal political moments in 2002 and 1963, vowing to render President Ruto a one-term president. His critique extended to Ukambani leaders aligned with the Kenya Kwanza government, whom he admonished for allegedly leveraging government resources to sway local support.

In a direct appeal to the electorate, Musyoka urged them to resist any attempts to purchase their loyalty through monetary or material inducements, emphasizing the importance of service delivery to all citizens. He cautioned the Kamba community against supporting the current administration, predicting the political downfall of those who have joined the government.

Musyoka’s statements have stirred the political pot, signaling a tightening of ranks and a call to action for disenfranchised people. As the nation looks toward the future, the former vice-president’s words resonate as a rallying cry for change and a reminder of the community’s past experiences with political promises. The stage is set for a contentious battle, with Musyoka’s challenge marking the beginning of a potentially transformative era in Kenyan politics.
