Abel Rotich, an alleged cousin of President William Ruto, is under fire after allegations surfaced that he operates from the 21st floor of the Cooperative Bank House to plan abductions and enforced disappearances.

Through his X handle,  Activist Francis Gaitho has called for immediate investigations into Rotich’s role in these alleged activities.

The 21st floor, historically a hub for high-level government offices, has long been shrouded in secrecy.

Activists now claim it has become a command center for sinister operations, with Rotich allegedly leading a team responsible for a spate of enforced disappearances across Kenya. Vehicles linked to these incidents, including Tiguans and Subarus, have reportedly been spotted at the building multiple times.

“Rotich and his team must be held accountable,” said Gaitho, urging legal action and public outcry. “This floor has a dark history of misuse by those in power, and it’s time for justice to prevail.”

Gaitho’s accusations have reignited concerns about government complicity in human rights violations, with activists demanding transparency and an end to abductions.

The Cooperative Bank building’s 21st floor, once known for hosting high-profile ministers and diplomats, now faces scrutiny for its alleged transformation into a hub for covert operations. Abel Rotich’s presence there has sparked outrage, with activists pointing to a pattern of impunity.

Calls for investigations into Rotich’s activities come amidst growing public unrest, as Kenyans demand answers about missing persons and the abuse of state power.

The development comes just days after former Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua accused the National Intelligence Service of paying a section of the media to produce wrong photo and details of the Abel, saying he will expose photos soon.
