Agnes Kagure has continued to push for better services in the city by directly helping residents who lack basic needs, especially clean water. She leads the Kenya Patriots Party and has built her public image around community service and practical support for ordinary people.

Her approach focuses on listening to what residents say they need and responding without delay.

Through her community group known as Mbogi na Mama, she has organized several outreach activities aimed at supporting families in informal settlements.

In a recent effort, the team visited Silanga and nearby parts of Kibra after residents asked for help. Many families in these areas have struggled for years with limited access to safe drinking water. Some are forced to buy water at high prices, while others rely on sources that may not be safe for their health.

During the visit, clean water was delivered to households that needed it most. Volunteers worked together to ensure that families received enough supply to support their daily use.

This action came after complaints from residents who felt that those responsible for public services had not done enough to address the water shortage.

Kagure and her team aimed to ease the burden, even if only for a period of time.

She has often said that access to safe water is not a favor from leaders but a basic right. According to her, leadership should be measured by how well it meets essential needs such as water, healthcare, and sanitation.

She believes that leaders must be present in communities and understand the challenges people face each day. Her activities are not limited to one area. Similar support has also been extended to families in Kawangware, where water shortages have also affected many households.

Supporters say these efforts show commitment and concern for the wellbeing of residents. Many people have expressed appreciation for the direct response to their requests.

In informal settlements across Nairobi, access to clean water remains a serious issue that affects health, hygiene, and daily living. When families lack safe water, children and elderly people are often the most affected.

Kagure maintains that better leadership is possible. She argues that change begins with action, not promises.

She presents herself as a leader who is ready to serve beyond words. Her involvement in water distribution highlights the importance of focusing on basic services that have a direct impact on people’s lives.

Many residents see this as a sign of practical leadership and hope that such efforts can lead to long term solutions for the city’s ongoing challenges.
