Zade Arabic Restaurant & Bistro has opened on Wood Avenue in Kilimani, adding a new Middle Eastern food spot to one of Nairobi’s busy and popular areas.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Miftah Hotel and Residences, making it easy to access for people who live nearby, work around Kilimani, or are just passing through the area.
Nairobi has many different places to eat, and Zade joins this growing scene by focusing on Arabic food made in a simple and thoughtful way.
The idea behind the restaurant is to serve real Arabic dishes that feel warm and familiar. The team behind Zade says they use fresh ingredients sourced from farms and prepare meals in generous portions meant to be shared.
This approach reflects the Arabic culture of eating together and enjoying food as a group rather than alone.
The menu includes well-known Middle Eastern dishes such as hummus, grilled kebabs, kibbeh, muhammara, mutabbal, and fattoush.
These are served with fresh pita bread, making them easy to share at the table. There are also slow-cooked meats that are soft and tender, served with rice, as well as sweet desserts to finish the meal.
All the food served at Zade is halal, which is important to many diners looking for meals prepared under specific guidelines.

The kitchen is led by Chef Ramy Rowiny, an award-winning chef with wide experience in Arabic cuisine. His role is to make sure every dish stays true to its original taste while still being neatly presented.
People who have eaten at Zade say the food feels balanced, with flavors that are clear and not overdone. His cooking style focuses on letting the ingredients speak for themselves, which helps the meals feel honest and well-prepared.
Inside, the restaurant has a calm and clean look. The space is not noisy or crowded, making it suitable for quiet lunches, relaxed dinners, or family gatherings.
The layout feels open and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. Zade is open for both lunch and dinner, giving guests flexibility on when to visit.
Zade adds something different to Nairobi’s food scene. While the city has many burger joints and fast-food spots, this restaurant offers Middle Eastern flavors that are still not very common. Its location near places like Yaya Centre also makes it easy to plan a meal alongside shopping or other activities.
