Deputy President William Ruto’s social media strategist Dennis Itumbi might be caught in hot soup following the alleged petition lodged at the Supreme Court by the Azimio – One Kenya presidential aspirant in the just concluded general election.

Denis Itumbi raised alarm that Raila Odinga’s man, John Githongo, will be seeking to find fault in his conduct before the seven (7) supreme court judge bench.

Itumbi noted that the former prime minister Raila Odinga through John Githongo accused him of running a parallel tally center at William Ruto’s Karen home, in Nairobi.

He added that in the election petition filed at the supreme court, he is mentioned for having hacked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) electoral system and changed forms 34As uploaded in the commission’s portal to favour United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential aspirant William Ruto.

“Azimio Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga tells Supreme Court through John Githongo that I had a Tally Centre at Karen. That I hacked the IEBC system to change Form 34As” claimed Itumbi.

Raila Odinga at a previous court appearence

However, he dismissed the allegations in the petition citing that it aims at hoodwinking the public into believing that Ruto employed election irregularities to defeat Raila on 9th August, 2022.

“The Fiction presented as a SERIOUS case! I am reading about myself in what sounds like a WILD NOVEL! But Githongo even has a Video in Court to prove THE LIE!” He laughed back.

If successfully linked to the alleged hacking, Itumbi would find himself in uncharted legal waters better imagined than faced.

The electoral commission chair Wafula Chebukati declared William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua as president and deputy president-elect respectively after garnering 7,176,141 votes, representing 50.48 percent of the total votes cast.

Raila Odinga on the other hand garnered 6,942,930 votes reflecting 48.89 percent of the total votes cast.

Four IEBC commissioners listed as interested parties in Azimio petition

The splinter group of IEBC consisting of four commissioners led by vice chairperson Juliana Cherera have been listed as interested parties in Azimio One Kenya petition at the apex court seeking to overturn Ruto’s win.
